Sailfish Parking is the public parking area serving Sailfish Walkway and the beach at Sailfish Street in Corolla’s Whalehead community. The lot has a gravel/sand surface, with a pedestrian route connecting beachgoers to the Sailfish beach access and wooden walkover. From the walkover, visitors cross the dunes to reach the Atlantic Ocean. The parking area itself does not include a bathhouse, public restrooms, or showers, so visitors should plan accordingly before arriving. Sailfish is one of Corolla’s traditionally lifeguarded beach locations during the summer season. The parking area is for visitors accessing the beach on foot; there is no vehicle drive-over ramp at Sailfish, and vehicles cannot enter the beach from this location.
