Located at the corner of Bonito Street and Lighthouse Drive, Bonito Street Beach Access provides public pedestrian access to the Atlantic Ocean in Corolla’s Whalehead community. Visitors follow the designated dune walkover to reach the beach. Limited parking is available near the access, while the separate Bonito Parking area provides additional public parking for beachgoers.
There is no bathhouse, public restroom or shower facility listed at Bonito Street, so visitors should plan accordingly. The beach is typically staffed by a seasonal lifeguard, with lifeguard service from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., during peak summer season. Bonito Street is intended for pedestrian access and does not include a public vehicle drive-over ramp.
