The Currituck County Rural Center (CCRC) is located on 105 acres in Powells Point. Popular activities and amenities currently available to the public at the CCRC include:

Equestrian indoor and outdoor riding rings
2 outdoor lighted horse arenas (300' x 150')
1 covered horse arena (200' x 100')
30 permanent horse stalls
Dressage arena
Access to the sound for kayaks and canoes
Fishing in two ponds
Disc golf baskets
Playground equipment
