2026 Rodeo- All tickets: $15 — Children Ages 5 and younger Free (ONLY AVAILABLE ONLINE)

Saddle up for the annual Currituck Bulls & Barbeque – Saturday, November 7th at the Currituck County Rural Center in Powells Point, NC. Experience the thrill of bull riding, barrel racing, mutton bustin’, and American pageantry from some of the best riders around.
Digital ticket or printed ticket REQUIRED for entry. No tickets available at the gate. For more details, please call 252-435-2947. NO REFUNDS. If we postpone due to rain and weather a rescheduled rain date will be scheduled. Please use your November 7 ticket as your ticket for rain date if we reschedule. Once you purchase a ticket, you will be taken to a confirmation page. From there you can send the ticket again to your email and or your phone via text. Also, after completion, you will get an automatic confirmation email which contains the link to the ticket. Attendees will need to bring that ticket either by paper or a digital copy to the event. Your QR code will be scanned for entry. Currituck County will not honor the resale of tickets. There is only one QR Code per entry. NO REFUNDS.
2026 People’s Choice BBQ Competition – Ticket Cost: $10 per person (ONLY AVAILABLE ONLINE)
Event Time: 12-2:30 pm (Online Ticketing Closed at 1 pm)
Local BBQ restaurants have been invited to participate in this year’s People’s Choice. The tickets are $10 per person to sample and vote on your favorite BBQ and your favorite side. People can sample a 2 oz sample of each BBQ and a sample of each side. Once they have sampled all the BBQ and sides, they get to vote. We will crown a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner for the “Best BBQ” & “Best Fixin.”
The People’s Choice Contest benefits our 4-H Back Packs for Kids, our local non-profit carrying out their mission to: Provide Currituck’s school-aged children with the necessities to enhance the total school experience and ensure they reach their full potential with dignity and respect.

Fun family festivities take place from noon-3pm with the rodeo starting at 3pm. We will have some awesome local food vendors.
Parents may sign their children up for the Mutton Bustin’ portion of the rodeo beginning at 3pm on site at the event. The child must weigh 65 lbs. or less. These spots are limited, and it is first come, first served. A ticket to the rodeo is required in order to sign up for Mutton Bustin’.
